They are being deprecated and users may experience issues with installing Google Drive File Stream due to KEXT that needs to be resolved by following steps below. KEXT are basically drivers for Mac OS X and higher. This is what Google suggested (as I say, as I don't have the new T2 chip, it doesn't work for me): They offered me a solution, but it doesn't work on my laptop (2015 - I'm waiting for the new Apple chip on a 16" Mac Book Pro).
Hope the above steps will work for some of you. Just proceed with step 3 to allow all extensions and thereafter, your MAC will reboot again and hopefully everything works again. Upon reboot, you will be prompted a warning message "Panic Medic Boot" which you may ignore. The above steps will disable all third party extensions from your MAC which essentially "reseting" and forcing it to allow the extension approval prompt again.
